Polite Canadians Wait 1 Full Game Before Celebrating Blue Jays’ Division Title
The Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles had a double-header Wednesday, but in spite of the Blue Jays’ clinching the AL East for the first time in 22 years, they chose to wait until after the second game before celebrating with champagne.
Some Blue Jays fans migrated down to Baltimore for the game and the expected celebration. They got to watch their Blue Jays rout the Orioles, 15-2.
"You're on the road, but it felt like a home game. I thought the majority of the stadium was Blue Jays fans. So that just goes to show how excited people are to take the trip down from the North to see us clinch. It's been special." -- P Marcus Stroman told the Associated Press
Baseball is better when the #BlueJays are relevant. It's been a while (1993) BUT this team & city along with GM A.A. Deserve a lot of credit!

The last time the Blue Jays made it into the playoffs, Joe Carter was leaping and bounding his way around the basepaths after his home run won the World Series back in 1993 – the last season before the player’s strike.
