Some Genius Put His Derek Jeter Yankee Home Finale Upper Deck Ticket On StubHub for $15,000
Like watching baseball from behind home plate? How about from 100 feet up? Have an extra $15,000 laying around? Any takers? The face value of this ticket is around $30, meaning the mark up is somewhere in the vicinity of 500 times greater than what you'd have paid for the seat in April. What's worse, a seat behind the first base dugout is going for $6,000, meaning someone might actually pay three times as much to watch the game from the nosebleeds when they could've have three tickets on Derek Jeter's lap. Dear god, please let someone buy this hilariously overpriced ticket.
Don't worry, if this deal doesn't seem fair, there's always the $9,000 right field bleacher seat, or the $14,000 outfield grandstand seat halfway between third and the left field foul pole in one of the last rows of the upper deck.
Otherwise, the cheapest ticket to Thursday's Yankees-Orioles game -- Jeter's final appearance in pinstripes -- will set you back about $310 for a spot in the left field bleachers.
Olbermann was right -- Jeterapolooza is getting out of hand.
