Stephen Colbert Ejects Goat From Studio Audience, Reinstates Cubs Curse
Just when it looked like the Chicago Cubs had a chance to snap their 107-year losing streak of not winning a World Series, Stephen Colbert may have ruined everything. Thursday night on The Late Show, his segment on the Cubs featured Colbert talking trash to goats, because "The curse of the billygoat is over, and I'm not afraid you guys anymore."
Colbert is a rabid Cubs fan, he explained, because he spent 11 years living in Chicago. "Chicago is a part of me, mostly because of all that sausage that's still in my lower intestine."
Then while leading his studio Cubs rally, Colbert noticed a goat in the audience not celebrating. "Kick him out of here! I don't care if he has a ticket, you kick him out of here!" The goat was led out. "You get out, and good riddance!"
COLBERT: "There is no possible way this decision can come back and haunt me, or the Cubs."
