John Lackey Imploding Like A Dying Sun, Cubs Lead 4-2 In Game 4 (With Updates)
Our story so far: Stephen Piscotty gave the Cardinals a 2-0 lead with a two-run home run in the top of the first, and the ball hit a cup of beer held by a Cubs fan in the bleachers, with the cup exploding on impact.
Coincidentally, that's the same thing that Cards' starter John Lackey did in the second inning -- explode on impact. That's when, with runners on first and second, Lackey gave up a run-scoring single to pitcher Jason Hamel (yep), and then a three-run homer to Javier Baez:
Suddenly it was 4-2 Cubs.

Talk about insult to injury. Piscotty's 2R HR destroyed a Cubs fan's beer. Lol pic.twitter.com/AcOlf6Bul8

UPDATE: And it's still 4-2 in the top of the fifth.

UPDATE: Tony Cruz two-out, two-strike double for Cards scores a run, it's 4-3.
UPDATE: Single by pinch-hitter Brandon Moss scores another run, but Cruz is thrown out at the plate by Soler in right for third out. It's 4-4.
UPDATE: Anthony Rizzo likes the 0-2 count ... solo homer gives Cubs 5-4 lead, bottom of sixth.
UPDATE: Kyle Schwarber has hit a ball into Lake Ontario. Not Lake Michigan, Lake Ontario. It's 6-4 Cubs, bottom of the eighth. MLB says ball went 419.9 feet, but that sounds short.
UPDATE: Cubs win, 6-4, celebrate a postseason-clinching win at Wrigley for the first time ever.
