Things Are Batshit Crazy In Toronto: Rangers Score Go-Ahead Run On Insane Play (Final: Toronto Wins 6-3)
It was raining debris at the Rogers Centre just now as Blue Jays fans protested the craziest sequence of events in the MLB postseason so far. So, top of the seventh inning, with the Rangers' Rougned Odor at third base with two out. Blue Jays catcher Russell Martin was throwing the ball back to the pitcher, but the throw hit Shin-Soo Choo's bat while Choo was in the batter's box.
The ball rolled weakly down the third-base line, as Odor sped home to give Texas a 3-2 lead.
Blue Jays fans went nuts, throwing cans and bottles onto the field as Toronto players left the dugout pleading for calm. Umpires reviewed the play. The call stood, and Texas took the lead.
And now in the bottom of the inning, Texas has made three straight errors on routine infield plays, and the bases are loaded with no outs.
UPDATE: A bloop single just past the second baseman by Josh Donaldson scores a run, it's 3-3. Two outs.
UPDATE: Jose Bautista 3-run homer gives Toronto 6-3 lead. Now the benches are clearing. Fans are throwing more stuff onto the field.
Edwin Encarnacion, the on-deck batter, was trying to calm the crowd, but the pitcher, Sam Dyson, thought he was egging them on. Dyson, already steamed that Bautista had admired his own homer for so long, had words with Encarnacion, and the benches cleared. No fight, though.
Now security is searching for fans to toss from the game for throwing things onto the field. The Texas dugout is pointing out offenders. The seventh inning has already taken 50 minutes.
Just defeaning, with fans singing Ole, Ole, Ole, Let's Go Blue Jays, cops everywhere, players pleading with fans not to throw stuff, etc.

Third out. As Dyson left the field, he tapped Troy Tulowitzki on the butt. Tulowitzki said, "What the hell?" or words to that effect. Benches clear again. No fighting. The inning took 53 minutes. On to the to of the eighth.
Prince Fielder just led off the top of the eighth with a single. Hello.
UPDATE: Texas got two on, but Toronto gets out of the inning and it's still 6-3.
