Twitter Finds Vin Scully’s World Series Ring In Nine Minutes

Remember when United Airlines lost Rory McIlroy's clubs and he tweeted about it? United found them 100 minutes later. Well with the wind at its back, the Twittersphere shattered that record today. Today Vin Scully lost his 1988 World Series ring (the one where Kirk Gibson sent Dennis Eckersley's backdoor slider into the right field seats) and the Dodgers appealed to the good nature of internet trolls everywhere.
While Christmas shopping today, Vin Scully lost his 1988 World Series ring. If you find it, please contact the Dodgers at (323) 224-1500.
No word on who took it (North Korean cyber-terrorists, perhaps?) or who returned it (Frodo Baggins, most definitely), but Vin and the Dodgers won the Internet, and now the team knows where to go the next time Yasiel Puig loses his mind or Clayton Kershaw loses the strike zone.
