Twitter Typo Values Veteran Pitcher Bartolo Colon At $125 Million Per Year
How much is one year of veteran pitcher Bartolo Colon's services worth?
In 2016 the Mets paid him $7.25 million. Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal reported Thursday that the Atlanta Braves offered the resurgent 43-year-old hurler a one-year, $12.5 million contract.

Then there's the outrageous dollar amount Twitter valued Colon's arm at: $125 million per year!
Even at 43 years-old, Colon's average ERA of 3.89 over his last three seasons with the Mets and the veteran depth he brings to a starting rotation is very valuable on a thin pitching free agency market.
That being said, "Big Sexy" isn't quite worth that much Twitter.
While Colon surely would've loved his salary to be multiplied by a factor of 10, the typo on Twitter's Moments page has since been corrected.
