Video Game Ump Shows Puig How A Stud Acts After A Homer

There’s nothing as fun as finding an Easter Egg in a video game (except finding a Cadbury Egg in a video game, but that’s messy). In this scene from “MLB 14: The Show,” the home plate ump shows Dodgers OF Yasiel Puig how to flip the bat and pose after crushing a pitch into the deep seats.

According to the video poster, Owen Good, this is one of several scenes that take place when the video game player doesn’t pitch the ball for more than 30 seconds while the game is not paused. The game will cycle through eight different 30-second scenes at different spots on the field, including home plate, first base, second base, shortstop, third base, left field, center field and right field, before also showing the dugout. “The most interesting scenes are at home plate and in the dugout,” wrote Good.

I think a cool Easter Egg for “MLB 14: The Show” would be where 95-percent of the fans at Fenway Park wear pink hats.
