Watch A Nationals Player Almost Kill His Teammate Because He Missed A Sign
The first came two pitches earlier, and it nearly killed baserunner Michael Morse, who stormed home on the suicide squeeze only to learn batter Wilson Ramos missed the sign and was swinging away:
Ramos took the next pitch, only to get the suicide squeeze sign again -- and fortunately for Morse's sake, he got it the second time around, executing a perfect sacrifice and driving home what would prove to be the winning run and leveling manager Johnson's record at 5-5 since taking over the helm June 25th.
The Washington Post quoted Ramos frankly:
I almost killed him.
The Nationals go for the four-game sweep against the Cubs Thursday night.
