Watch An Ichiro Impersonator Actually Get Into The Game — By Interfering With A Live Ball
An Ichiro Suzuki impersonator who attended Tuesday night's A's-Mariners game in Seattle took the act a bit too far when he reached onto the field and grabbed a live ball off the bat of Mariners 2B Dustin Ackley.
The incident, which happened with two outs and the bases empty in the third inning, left the Mariners announcing team of Dave Sims & Mike Blowers both exasperated and thoroughly amused:
Surprisingly, the fan wasn't ejected, according to MLB Mariners writer Greg Johns. The Ichiro impersonator has been in attendance at several recent Mariners games, signing autographs and posing for photos with his "gold glove."
