Wrigleyville Bars Packed At 8 A.M., Charging $250 Cover To Watch Game On TV
This is what happens when you wait 71 years to play in a World Series game at home -- the lines in front of bars near Wrigley Field start forming at 6 a.m., everything's packed by 7:30, and some places are charging $250 just to get in. NESN:
Table reservations at Deuces and The Diamond Club, John Barleycorn and Old Crow Smokehouse cost $500.
However, these figures don’t come without perks. Included in the $250 admission to Saturday’s watch party at HVAC Pub are all-you-can eat pizza and wings, plus beer, well drinks and wine. Other bars sell standing-room tickets for $40.

And if you ca remain sober enough to stumble into the game, it'll cost you much more. The cheapest ticket available on the secondarymarket was was $1,625 for standing room only (on StubHub).
So right now police have closed off Clark and Addison as the crowds outside the stadium get crazy, and it's more than an hour until game time (8:08 PM, ET, on FOX).
