Yoenis Cespedes Sends Mets Staffer On Waffle-Maker Errand In His $400K Lamborghini
February 24 / Rick Chandler / SportsGrid
Yoenis Cespedes hates square waffles, so he decided to ask a Mets staffer to go on an errand for him during practice today. Would he mind going on a round waffle maker run? "Oh, and take my Lamborghini," (tosses keys).
This is true. According to Newsday, Cespedes sent the guy on a waffle errand in this:
We wrote about the car this morning. It's a $390,000 (not including the custom details) Lamborghini -- the third in a series of custom vehicles Cespedes has used to get to practice since Monday. And when a man wants a round waffle iron, time, and money, are no object.
Apparently the Mets' team room only has square waffles, and Cespedes balked -- what are we, animals? So he sent someone to get a respectable waffle appliance.
Wonder if the staffer used the tailpipe flame feature.
