Colin Cowherd Calls NASCAR 'Pro Wrestling' After Yet Another Fight Highlights Racial Double Standard
If you've noticed that the predominantly black sports in this country have the least amount of league sanctioned fighting, you're not alone. ESPN's Colin Cowherd -- who catches a lot of flak for criticizing culture, generally -- thinks that NASCAR operates on a different moral plane that the rest of American pro sports because its culture is, to put it simply, entitled. NASCAR fans want fighting, they get fighting -- regardless of how the other sports handle it in their leagues.
"It's professional wrestling," Cowherd said, insinuating NASCAR fans are half fan/half mayhem enthusiasts. "NASCAR endorses fighting."
Is NASCAR profiting off the double standard in this country, that labels black men "thugs" when they get into skirmishes, while white men get the "boys will be boys" free pass when they erupt on one another?
