Danica Patrick Proves That Even Hot Athletes Can Use Instagram Trickery

If you're a regular on Instagram then you've no doubt seen the fantastic new trend of celebrities and generally hot and in-shape people revealing the tricks they can and/or will use in order to look as flawless as possible in a photo. This is a response to years of women logging onto the app only to see images of bodies that they truly cannot comprehend, followed by a disclaimer that it is not Photoshopped.
Luckily there are some wonderful people out there who have exposed the tricks of the trade - specifically that you don't need a hard core photo editor to perform trickery via camera lens. Lighting, angles, filters, clothing adjustments and a myriad of other tactics can be employed in order to achieve a look that isn't digitally altered but also isn't entirely "real."
The latest celebrity to join the cause is auto racer Danica Patrick, who has spent her entire career breaking the mold. As the only female superstar in her sport, and with the body of an elite athlete, her messages about body image and health are resonant - which is why this post has been received so well by her fans.
The caption reads:
I kinda love when people do real vs produced shots. The difference between the two is lighting, pose, and clothes adjustments. We all want to look our best at all times, no shame in that. But don't let someone else's body put yours down. Use it for motivation. ?Keep digging friends to be the best you! You own that! We all know when we are treating our bodies with the respect it deserves. It's the one and only thing we own for life.
Obviously Patrick's body is amazing, healthy, toned and gorgeous in both photos. She takes her workout and yoga regiments seriously and she has the figure to prove it. However there is a notable difference in the "sexiness" of the two photos, in addition to the fact that the second one appears to make her look longer, leaner and more tan.
This kind of trickery has long been used by Instagram celebrities like the Kardashians, who are in fantastic shape, but also distort their bodies to get even better "results" for a pic.
