NASCAR’S Mark Martin Latest To Endorse Donald Trump: ‘Build That Wall!’

I guess it's no surprise that NASCAR -- the sport in which you go around in circles and there are frequent accidents -- is the pro sport that is embracing Donald Trump the closest. Retired driver Mark Martin is the latest to lend his support to Hair Donald -- appearing with him at a campaign rally today in North Carolina.
Martin is known in NASCAR as "The best driver to never win a championship", having the second-most wins in the Nationwide Series (49), and finishing second in the Sprint Cup Series five times. So it's surprising that Trump would align himself with such a serial runner-up ... I thought he only liked winners. You know, Like Sarah Palin. Daily Mail:
"Hey guys! Donald Trump has my vote," Martin told a crowd of about 4,000 at the beginning of a 40-minute speech in a Concord, North Carolina arena that normally hosts pro wrestling matches, cheerleading competitions and aging rock-band reunion tours. "Let's bring those greatly needed jobs back to this country. And build that wall! Make America great again!"
The sad thing here is that's all Martin said. He took the stage, repeated three Trump talking points, and walked off. Martin then got a little testy when one of his fans called him out on his Trumpism.
Here's the thing, Mark. Voting should be a personal choice, and no one else's business. But when you get up in front of a crowd and bellow "Vote Trump!", you're trying to convince people to follow you. That leaves you open for rebuttal. Shame on you for denying your new detractors their freedom to call you out. The words "free country" work for others, too.
Protesters interrupted Trump's speech five times, and that seems to be the most entertaining thing happening at his rallies lately.
