Another Knicks Player Gets Robbed: Cleanthony Early Shot In Knee In Queens
Cleanthony Early, a forward for the Knicks playing in his second year in the NBA out of Wichita State, was shot and robbed by masked gunmen as he was getting into an Uber car at about 4:15 a.m. this morning, according to the New York Daily News. He is reported stable at a New York hospital and his condition is not life threatening.
Early was reportedly approached by as many as a half dozen people in ski masks. The assailants fled the scene with pieces of Early’s jewelry -- including his gold caps and gold necklace -- after firing a single shot into his right knee.
Teammate Derrick Williams had $600,000 worth of jewelry stolen from his New York apartment last week.
