Brandon Knight Adds To His Career Blooper Reel, Blows Wide-Open Game-Winning Layup
It should be noted from the top that the Bucks went on to win this game in triple overtime, thanks in particular to a timely three pointer and some clutch free throws by Brandon Knight. But before that happened, man, Brandon Knight fucked up.
With under 10 seconds remaining in the first overtime of the Bucks-Nets game (in Jason Kidd's return to Brooklyn), Knight intercepted a pass from Joe Johnson. At this point, the Bucks should be getting down on their knees and kissing Knight's feet for this steal, which prevented the Nets from having a chance to win it. But what came next is so egregiously bad that you kind of forget all the good things that came before it:
If you think watching that is bad, check out the Bucks' bench:
Brandon Knight, aka the man who died, aka the man who could not decide whether to pass or shoot, aka Bad Luck Brandon, aka Bi-Polar Brandon, aka Day and Knight. This is the stuff of middle school basketball nightmares -- blowing the wide-open layup because you hear footsteps, or just forget how layups work.
Like I said, he ended up hitting a tying three in double OT, and the Bucks went on to win, so no harm done. But this is going on the career (blooper) reel, buddy.
