Yoda Needs Teleprompter On NBA-On-TNT Set, Is Still More Lifelike Than Shaq
Not since Yoda wrestled a flashlight from R2-D2 in The Empire Strikes Back has there been more excitement -- the 900-year-old short squatty green one will co-host the NBA on TNT doubleheader tonight, where presumably he'll break down the Oklahoma Thunder defense, and use the force to screw with LeBron's receding hairline.
I have a bad feeling about this: cheap promotional gimmickry, it is. Yessss.
Hopefully this Yoda will employ Frank Oz's voice, because if they try and fake it it's going to fail miserably. Yoda will co-host, or at least be on set, for tonight's TNT doubleheader. (Oklahoma City at Cleveland, 8 p.m. ET; Houston at L.A. Lakers, 10:30 p.m. ET).
There are herds of retired coaches and athletes who turn to broadcasting careers, but I never thought that Yoda would resort to this. How does it feel to be the only one on the panel with hair, buddy?
