Celtics In Trouble? Eighth-Seeded Bulls Shock Celtics And Take 2-0 Lead
April 19 / Marcus Blackwell / SportsGrid
When the Cavaliers were stumbling through the final few weeks of the regular season, Celtics fans were excited about the possibility of snagging the number one seed in the Eastern Conference. Weeks later, two games into the postseason, the Celtics find themselves down 2-0 to the eighth-seeded Chicago Bulls. The veteran leadership of Dwayne Wade and Rajon Rondo, combined with the great play of Jimmy Butler has made the Bulls look much better than your everyday eight seed.
Should Celtics fans be worried? Yes, they should. Going down 2-0 on your home floor makes for an extremely difficult task for Boston in this next week. The Bulls dominance on the defensive end was especially impressive, as the Celtics really never got into a rhythm in Game 2.
Game 1 the Bulls stole a victory.
Game 2 the Bulls dominated really from start to finish.
It's still a lot of series left to be played, but this is definitely a cause for concern for Celtics fans. The series will continue this Friday as they change location and head to Chicago.
