Coach K Drops F-Bomb After Kyrie Irving Makes Fun Of His Running Style

USA Basketball’s roster has some of the best players and personalities in the sport. NBA players get to team up with guys they’ve faced off against all season, while also allowing some relationships to be rekindled. Kyrie Irving, who played for Mike Krzyzewski at Duke, reconnected with his old coach as Team USA practiced this week in Las Vegas for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
It wasn’t long before the newly-crowned NBA champion and the winningest coach in NCAA Division 1 men's basketball history began to pull each other’s strings. As Coach K was walking the team through a play, Irving joked around with his old coach.
Although the joke isn’t all that audible, Coach K’s response was heard loud and clear by Irving and the other members as he jokingly said, “fuck you” twice to Irving. But the real punchline is that Krzyzewski was mic’d up on live television when he dropped the F-bombs.
Maybe Coach K is lightening up in his last go-around at the helm of Team USA. Or maybe Irving just knows how to push Krzyzewski’s buttons after playing under him for a season at Duke.
Either way, Team USA kicks off their first test before Rio in an exhibition game Friday against Argentina, and it looks like Irving and Coach K intend to have fun along the way.
