D’Angelo Russell Shows Ben Simmons The Best Way To Avoid Being A Narc In The NBA
In the most recent Foot Locker commercial featuring Ben Simmons, he asks for advice on what to do now that he's been drafted into the NBA. After Karl-Anthony Towns and Devin Booker gave him solid advice, Simmons looked toward D'Angelo Russell for final words of wisdom. Russell focused on what one definitely should not be doing in the NBA.
In case you were living in bubble a couple of months ago, Russell is the evil mastermind who decided to film his teammate Nick Young talking about cheating on his girlfriend Iggy Azalea. The video went viral, and of course that was the biggest headline for the Los Angeles Lakers, besides the whole Kobe Bryant retiring thing. Stephen A. Smith went nuts, said Russell's career was over, and poor D'Angelo was labeled a snitch for life. Shockingly, it seems as if Smith may have this one wrong.
Russell has since owned his mistake and satirizes himself in the video. He gave Simmons the best advice he could give to anyone: don't be an idiot and snitch on one of your best friends (basically, bros before hoes). In Russell's defense though, I could see how it could be hard to follow that motto, since Young was both a bro and a hoe. (I still love how it's Russell who received all the shit in this and not, ya know, the person cheating. But alas, athletes and monogamy).
Speaking of Young, it seems like things didn't end so well between him and his wifey. Earlier this week Iggy dumped her fiancé because she could not trust Young and his cheating ways. I'm honestly impressed that they lasted as long as they did.
But hey, at least Russell won't make that mistake again. And neither will Ben Simmons.
The moment we've been waiting for. Nick Young has responded to the Foot Locker commercial featuring D'Angelo Russell. All we can say is..
