DeMarcus Cousins Scored 91 Points In A Charity Basketball Game On Saturday
When DeMarcus Cousins faced Eric Bledsoe in high school, Cousins only scored seven points -- that was the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 5A semifinals in 2009. Bledsoe's Parker High School upset Cousins' LeFlore High, 52-39.
In their latest rematch, the scoring totals were a bit different. It was a charity game in their hometown of Birmingham, and the Kings' Cousins dropped 91 points, with the Suns' Bledsoe scoring 85. That's 176 points between just two guys, and we're not sure who else was on the court -- children? Assorted pets? Even with cardboard cutouts as the defense, I'm not sure I could go for 91. I'd for sure trip over something.
Anyway, quite a feat, especially for a big man. Because, what guard is going to feed you the ball that many times in a charity game?

The game was part of the Eric Bledsoe Back to School Rally in Birmingham, which was a big community barbecue in which Bledsoe and his University of Kentucky teammate Cousins raised money for sports and academic programs and also handed out backpacks and other school supplies to local kids.
