Dennis Rodman Has Been Hard At Work Finding A Cure For Hangovers
As for what he's been doing with his life since then, apparently The Worm has been keeping busy working on a cure for hangovers. Naturally.
Rodman launched his "Gtox" Milkshake at Millions of Milkshakes yesterday in Culver City, California. The preemptive-measure-beverage contains a "special ingredient": GTOX® the Hangover Blocker 4oz detox shots.
According to BevNET:
GTOX® is a patented detox shot that when consumed before bed, helps the body turn alcohol toxins into water soluble compounds naturally for faster recovery.
Other ingredients include purified water, potassium glucarate, sucralose, citric acid, ascorbic acid, natural flavors, sodium citrate, potassium benzoate and potassium sorbate. About half of those are preservatives.
Says Loretta Zapp, CEO of Austin-based Applied Food Sciences, which manufactures the product: "Glucarate has significant scientific data behind it related to detoxification in general."
“The GTOX shot’s citrus flavor tastes great, provides you with antioxidants, contains no caffeine or other stimulants, and so far our test market consumer response has been fantastic,” adds Jackson Zapp, Director of GTOX marketing. “It really works.”
One four-ounce bottle retails for $2.50, and is required for every 4-5 drinks you consume. Amazon.com is currently selling them in packs of 12.
