Derrick Rose Tries Something Different, Hits Game-Tying Bank Shot In OT Rather Than Getting Injured
Derrick Rose is best known for being that guy who used to be really, really good at basketball and now just gets injured a lot. It sucks. We prefer our basketball players to ball out, rather than sit out (nailed it). But maybe he's turned a corner -- he had 18 points (albeit on 6-20 shooting) and 10 assists as the Bulls fell to the Mavericks in double overtime.
Frankly, that stat line wouldn't be worth mentioning if it didn't include this running semi-one-handed three-point buzzer beater, which forced the second OT and gave the Bulls a chance to win at home:

But just so you don't think we're not telling you the whole story, you should know that Rose missed a three to win it in regulation. So, maybe he's not back. I don't know. Take this however you want.
