DJ Khaled Can’t Believe How Badly The Warriors Are Getting Worked
Rapper, producer and big-time Golden State Warriors fan DJ Khaled couldn't bear to watch on Tuesday as the Warriors' season-opener vs. the Spurs turned from a fire drill to a roaring dumpster inferno right before his front-row eyes in Oakland. Kevin Durant's debut became a 29-point Spurs' victory, 129-100, meaning that the Warriors, one of the best NBA teams of all time, are now on a four-game losing streak (remember the NBA Finals?).
Durant had 27 points and 10 rebounds, but the Spurs' Kawhi Leonard had 35, 5, and the Spurs led by as many as 18 in the first half. Golden State often looked like they had no interest in the boards, and SA, possibly the only team capable of defending the Warriors' top four one on one, didn't resort to many double-teams.
But no one said this would be easy. Steve Kerr essentially has a new team, and it's going to take time to mold it to the point where it can handle the Spurs and the Cavaliers. So calm the hell down, everyone. If you're a Golden State fan, this is probably the best thing that could have happened.
Warriors: +5 point margin when all 4 of their "Big 4" were on the court at the same time. -34 when 1 of the 4 was off the court
