Everyone, Relax: Miami Heat Staff Given The OK To Attend Chris Bosh’s Wedding
An NBA lockout means absolutely no contact between NBA team personnel and its players — that goes for phone calls, emails, tweets, handwritten letters, carrier pigeon messages, etc.
With any general rule, though, there are exceptions. But with the league's head honchos effectively playing the role of Big Brother, you can bet no one wants to be the lone individual to test those limits.
Well, everyone can breathe a collective sigh of relief, because the NBA has at least granted Miami Heat staff special access to Chris Bosh's upcoming nuptials to Adrienne Williams. Because if there was ever a time for everyone to come together and let bygones be bygones, it's a wedding.
With the Eastern Conference champs being given the green light to eat, drink and revel in each other's company, we don't expect anyone affiliated with the Heat to sit this one out — least of all Bosh's teammates, who infamously skipped out on Bosh's four-day bender for semi-questionable reasons. Unfortunately for LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, the bachelor party sounded a heck of a lot more fun than the actual wedding (there was a magic show involved, after all).
We just hope somebody had the decency to invite Dirk. Poor guy shouldn't have to stay at home watching NBA TV. Then again, after his own international bender, maybe some R&R is just what he needs.
