‘First Take’ Crew Gets Into Screaming Match Over LeBron Vs. Jordan

If the Earth suddenly opened up and a giant sandworm consumed the studio where they film "First Take", the following clip would be played at Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith's memorial service, because holy shit it was about as "First Take-y" as "First Take" gets. The question at hand: having made his sixth-straight NBA Finals this year, is LeBron James now better than or equal to Michael Jordan? Like two adolescent boys talking shit in the back of a school bus, sketchy Skip and shouty Stevie went at.
Two adult millionaires got into a screaming match over the most esoteric debate in basketball, arguing entirely in unprovable generalities until they were forced to cut to commercial (presumably before one of them blew out their lavalier mic).
"I host a national radio show, Skip," Smith shouted, as if his credentials mattered in this instance. "I'm on national television with you, I'm doing 'Sportscenter,' I'm at NBA games, I walk the streets. Skip Bayless, I have heard no human being sit there and say that LeBron James is better than Michael Jordan. Only you keep saying that people have said that and it's not true."
Wait, so then you HAVE heard people say that LeBron James is better than Michael Jordan, right? No?
"Ok, I'm just asking the question -- that's all I'm doing," Skip said, using classic I'm-trying-to-hide-this-ridiculous-take-behind-a-question-mark move. Then things got very loud.
"Really? That's what you're doing? Just asking a question, huh? that's all you're doing?" Smith yelled. "I'm pointing out that there are some indelible negatives on [LeBron James'] resume that even you sometimes gloss over," Bayless responded by pulling a complete 180. "'Oh, he was young.' Baloney he was young in 2010! Baloney he was young in 2013! I'm sorry, I'm not taking it!"
Before Skip leaves this show, these two should spend a full round in the Octagon just pummeling the shit out of each other's faces.
