ICYMI: Even NBA Players Can’t Believe What Steph Curry Did Against The Thunder
Steph Curry does something seemingly superhuman in just about every game he plays in these days. Since the start of the NBA season, he's been nothing short of otherworldly. You've read the stats. You've seen the Vines. You've sat with your mouth agape after he's sunk yet another insane last minute shot that no one in the history of basketball has ever been able to make; except for him.
So on Saturday night when the Warriors took on the Thunder in Oklahoma City, everyone was prepared for Curry to put on a typically masterful performance Just about any shot from any place on the court is in his wheelhouse, so it felt safe to assume that even the Steph Curry-est of Steph Curry performances could be a lot of things; but shocking wasn't one of them.
Then he had to go and do this:
Yes that's a video of every one of the TWELVE three-pointers that Curry made in the game, including the mind-boggling THIRTY-TWO FOOT game-winner from with 0.6 seconds left on the clock. I apologize for the excessive use of caps there but I'm running out of proper ways to express my awe.
Let's see that one more time:
Lord. Have. Mercy.
So those 12 three-pointers tied the NBA record for most in a single game. They also put Curry's season total at 288, surpassing the record he set last season with 286 three-pointers. No big deal... it's just that there are still about 25 games left in the regular season.
Curry's shooting threes at a pace that puts Hall of Fame shooters to shame. It's truly incredible, and it has literally the entire NBA understandably freaking out on a whole new level.
