Jimmy Butler Tells ESPN’s First Take Which NBA Player He’d Most Like To Play With
February 17 / SportsGrid Staff / SportsGrid
It's not news that the trio of Rajon Rondo, Dwyane Wade and Jimmy Butler isn't working out so well in Chicago. Big surprise there.
As a result, the Bulls have been fishing for a piece that would better compliment Butler's game all season, but to no avail. Fans got the chance to hear straight from the Bull's mouth who he'd most like to play with on ESPN's First Take.
"I'd probably have to go with my favorite player who's not myself and that's Kyrie," Butler said. "I love Kyrie's game man, and he's a really good dude."
Check out Butler's full response in the video below.
Irving would undoubtedly compliment Butler's game, but then again "Uncle Drew" would elevate virtually any team in the NBA.
So Max Kellerman asked Butler the more pointed question of who he thinks would best elevate his game. His response: Kyle Korver, or anyone that can shoot the ball. If the Bulls could add a sharpshooter that defenders couldn't leave on the perimeter, then that would ideally open up Butler in the paint where he thrives.
The Bulls front office should listen to their cornerstone player and acquire a shooter before the looming NBA trade deadline on Feb. 23. In the immortal words of Stephen A. Smith, Butler's a bad, bad man, but the star still needs some help.
