Joakim Noah: “Everybody Needs To Chill The Fuck Out” About Derrick Rose

When you're on the same team as Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose, you're on the same team as a player that everyone perceives as a ticking time bomb. Like Robert Jordan's bomb from For Whom The Bell Tolls (yes, I went there), combustion is inevitable. After Rose's knee injuries, people seem to think the question is no longer whether Rose will get injured again. It's when.
So there's a sick and twisted salivation that occurs when Derrick Rose goes down. People are ready to devour the star.
Twitter erupts and critics begin to wave their flag of victory. It was bound to happen again, they'd say. Then the word comes back: Rose has injured his hamstring. And everyone needs to chill the fuck out -- at least, according to Joakim Noah
"Every time something happens to him, people act like it's the end of the world. And that's fucking so lame to me. Relax. Like, okay, he's coming back from two crazy surgeries. Obviously we're being conservative with him, and when things aren't going right, he's got to listen to his body more than anybody. So everybody needs to chill the fuck out," Noah said following Chicago's 100-93 win over the Toronto Raptors on Thursday, via James Herbert of CBS Sports. "I mean, I'm sorry for cursing, but I'm really passionate. I don't like to see him down. And he doesn't say that he's down. But I don't like it when, like, people portray him and judge him. 'Cause it's not fair to him. It's not."
