Klay Thompson’s Dad Watched John Cena’s Return Rather Than Game 7
Game 7 is agonizing for any sports fan. The whole cliche about thrill of victory and agony of defeat definitely applies here. We live and die by our team and even make idiotic bets to support them. We also like to live vicariously through out children. Despite winning two NBA Championships, Mychal Thompson was a nervous wreck for Game 7. After Klay was seemingly single handedly able to get the Warriors to the pivotal game, you'd think that his father would want to see what the encore looked like. Instead he had better things to watch.
Mychal Thompson says he was nervous and couldn't bear to watch Game 7, so he watched Monday Night Raw instead.

Mychal is a notorious wrestling fan, but was John Cena's return a bigger deal than to see if his son's team would advance to the finals for the second straight yet? Don't get us wrong, we completely support Mychal tuning into "Raw" to see the Kevin Owens show and Chris Jericho bask in the gift of Jericho, but not over Game 7. Not over the defending champion's Game 7. Not over YOUR SON'S Game 7.
We'll assume Mychal checked in here and there. Maybe he tuned out once Klay started cold from the field (0 for hist first 7). Maybe he just became glued to "Raw" when he saw The Club reunite and AJ Styles turn heel. Whatever the case may be, Mychal Thompson is free to watch the Dubs until Game 5 (if necessary). After all, that's the night of the last "Raw" before "Money In The Bank" and you can't miss that.
Or you're S-A-W-F-T.
