Kobe Supposedly Told Jordan Clarkson To ‘Quit Taking It To The Hole Like A Light-Skinned Dude’
As long as we're being nakedly candid, Kobe, you realize that you were nothing without Shaq and Phil Jackson, right? Just a playground ball hog with a low basketball IQ and delusions of grandeur.
The Lakers blew out the Suns on Sunday 97-77, and a big reason was Jordan Clarkson (12 points, 7 assists). His viral dunk over Suns' 7-foot-1 center Alex Len had Lakers teammate Nick Young on the floor miming the need for heart resuscitation, which was amusing. Clarkson says that he was inspired by a comment from Kobe Bryant prior to the game (Bryant sat out with a shoulder problem).
"All I remember was Kobe telling me that I've been going to the hole like a light-skinned dude," Clarkson told ESPN's Baxter Holmes following the game. "So I've got to start doing it like a dark-skinned [dude]. So when I seen the lane opened up, that's all I remember."
It was LA's season-best third straight win, which they should enjoy because they're playing Golden State on Tuesday.
This is a whole weird area for me, but not to some:
@kobebryant What do you mean when you say "don't play like a light skinned dude?" Hmmm....and if I say black skinned, am I being racist??

Meanwhile, the Lakers announced that they may retire both No. 8 and No. 24 when Kobe retires at the end of the season. Bryant helped the Lakers to championships while wearing each number.
