Kyrie Irving Absolutely Owns At Taboo
After playing Taboo over the weekend, I would say that I'm sufficiently an expert in the game. The rules of the game are simple. You need to get your team to guess a word without using a clue that is already on the card. The best strategy to use in the game isn't trying to use other synonyms for the word, but use your relationship to your advantage. Personal stories and being able to somehow connect them to the word is the key to winning. Kyrie Irving discovered that key.
In promotion for the Olympics, Kyrie, Kevin Durant and DeMarcus Cousins played a game of Taboo against the staff from GQ. It's immediately clear that Cousins and Durant are overmatched. The team at GQ dominates the first two rounds, until Kyrie Irving takes over like he did in Game 7. Kyrie drops "John" for John Wall right at DeMarcus Cousins and gives a singer that Kevin Durant knows immediately. It's an impressive come from behind victory and it's all thanks to Irving. The last clue giver for GQ is a straight up disaster.
When Kyrie wants to bring his squad up against mine, I'll be waiting. A word of advice though? Replace Kevin Durant with Russell Westbrook. Burn.
