LeBron Kept It Real (And A Little Salty) In His Post-Finals Press Conference
Making the losers of the NBA Finals speak the media afterwards just seems like punishment. Asking LeBron James how disappointed he is in not winning a title when he is clearly the most disappointed person in the world at that moment seems unnecessary. He put everything he had -- his heart, his body, his blood -- out there on the court, and all he has to show for it is people questioning his legacy and talent. And you want him to be civil and polite and fill in soundbites?
Well, to his credit, LeBron did all that was asked of him this series, from lead his team in every major category to answer silly post-Finals questions. And for the first time in recent memory, we're totally cool with some of the excuses -- and there were a few of them -- that LeBron offered up in his own defense. It's true: The Cavs were shorthanded. They've been injury-plagued nearly all season. And their talent did "run out." J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert and Matthew Dellavedova (save for two games or so) played like garbage. The stats back it up:
Without LeBron James on the floor this series. JR Smith 0/9 FG Delly 0/7 FG J. Jones 0/3 FG Shumpert 0/2 FG Total 0/21 FG

Watch the King hold court with the media in two parts, below:
Get mad, LeBron. Be angry. Be frustrated. Question whether it's all worth it. Curse the gods for striking down your supporting cast in your first year back. We don't blame you. Just come back next year and wreck shit.
