Mike & Mike Addresses Bill Simmons Feud On-Air
Mike & Mike should've reached out to Bill Simmons before commenting on his interview with Colin Cowherd where he compared LeBron James four games into the season to Albert Pujols' disappointing tenure with the Angels. Not giving him a chance to defend his comments was a mistake (context notwithstanding). That being said, Bill Simmons' "context" shouldn't have really mattered because all he ended up saying was, and I'm paraphrasing, "I know this is ridiculous but I'm gonna say it anyways." That's like saying "no offense" and then saying something offensive. That's not so much context as it is a warning something stupid is about to come out of Simmons' mouth. Does that make the comparison he made any less stupid? No -- but it probably shouldn't have been dissected like that by Golic.
The two ESPN radio personalities spoke yesterday and apparently worked some stuff out, and disagreed about other stuff -- Golic would not comment. "It's between me and Bill Simmons and that's how it's gonna stay," he said this morning. Here's the clip:
