NBA Legend Rick Barry Calls Rob Parker ‘A Loser’ For Questioning LeBron’s Decisions

By the time Kyle Korver’s done playing professional basketball, he’ll be inside virtually all of the NBA’s career three-point shooting statistical rankings. LeBron James, on the other hand, will not, which is why it’s understandable the league’s only player-GM went out and traded for his serves back in January. It also explains why LeBron passes to Korver when he’s open — even if LeBron himself has a clear look at the basket.

Toward the end of Game 3, when the Cleveland Cavaliers dropped a five-point lead in the final minute, LeBron deferred to Korver, which irked former ESPN talking head and current Fox Sports radio host Rob Parker. It’s not a ridiculous point to make — why would the best basketball player on Earth give up an open look in crunch time of tightly contested Finals game? — but by that same logic, if Parker is saying that LeBron is so infallible, he doesn’t leave himself much room to question his decision making.

NBA legend and father of two three-point specialists Rick Barry wasn’t having any of Parker’s armchair nitpicking, as we went ballistic on the air, eventually calling the veteran NBA journalist “a loser” who “doesn’t know the game” because he “hasn’t ever played” so he “should be ashamed.”

Yeesh. Tell us how you really feel, Rick.
