Paul George Adds Insult To Injury Tweeting About Ray Rice
Poor Paul George. The dude had one of the more horrific leg injuries you'll ever see while basically playing off-season pickup basketball (c'mon, we're going to win that FIBA thing easily, right?). But rather than waiting for everyone to sign his cast, he was busy getting ready for the season by changing his jersey number from 24 to 13. I'll wait... Oh c'mon, PG-13. Get it? But then he decided to tweet today...
First, those are more R-rated than PG-13 (or perhaps rated D for "Dumb"). Second, well, I don't even have to say anything, do I? You see where this going, right? Well, AJ Colley (woman, Pacers fan) did when she tweeted:
Let's all remember the sincerity of @Yg_Trece's tweets when he's forced to insincerely apologize.
— AJ Colley (@aj_colley) September 11, 2014
An hour later, PG-13 made sure AJ won the internet today by predictably taking down those two tweets and giving this "insincere apology":
Let me apologize to the women and to the VICTIMS of domestic violence people my intent was not to downplay the situation..
— Paul George (@Yg_Trece) September 11, 2014
Why is it insincere? Well, the reason he took it down was a public rebuke by Pacers president Larry Bird, who said PG-13's comments were "thoughtless." Yes they were, Larry.
Face it, George is having an epically horrible offseason, and believe it or not, it could get worse. So someone, please take away all of Paul George's electronic devices before he follows Ray Rice out the door.
