Rondo Tries To Leg Sweep Deron Williams From The Bench
Wednesday night's Mavericks-Kings 2-OT thriller was further evidence that Deron Williams career is far from over. The enigmatic point guard finished with 25 points on 10 of 18 shooting, including the go ahead bucket with two seconds remaining in regulation and the game-winner with time expiring in the second and final overtime. Suffice it to say the Mavs seem comfortable going to D-Will in crunch time.
Also, Rajon Rondo feels comfortable playing defense even when he's not in the game.
Some intrepid NBA sleuths unearthed a clip of Rondo trying to kick Deron Williams' foot with 2:25 remaining in the first overtime. As bush league as this may seem, it's nice to see Rondo actually applying himself in some capacity. After all, he absolutely, 100% quit on that same Mavericks team less than a year ago.
