Seven Reasons Jeremy Lin Could Be Poised To Take Over The World
The Los Angeles Lakers open their regular season tonight vs. the visiting Rockets, and if you're like me, you're wondering how the NBA us upon us already. It couldn't get here fast enough for Lakers fans, who want to wash the taste of a 27-55 record from their palates. That was the second-worst record in franchise history, and worst since the team has been in LA.
Is Jeremy Lin their savior? The conditions are perfect -- he's starting at point guard, and expectations are, if not low, certainly not unmanageable. And he's in a system that should allow him to do what he does best.
So, has Linsanity v. 2.0 arived in LA? Here are seven reasons that Lakers fans should absolutely love Jeremy Lin.

Kobe Hearts Jeremy
The Lakers went into the season hoping to use Nash and Lin as a two-headed point guard. But Nash reinjured his back lifting luggage, and recently announced that he will sit out the season. Lin is now the man, and Kobe Bryant is seemingly embracing him: Lin called him "a great leader and mentor".
Lin now has the stage to do the most he can -- something he's really never had before. He certainly didn't in Houston, and not at Golden State, or even in New York where Linsanity was born. One of the biggest parts of Lin's game is his talent for creating shots for others. That puts Kobe in your corner, and when Kobe is in your corner, you play a lot.
He Has A Good Heart
Believe me -- none of this is fake.
My heart goes out to Jabari, 'Scoe and everyone across the NBA cut this preseason...still remember that feeling like yesterday #hopeinHim
