Stephen A. Smith Is Comically Bad At Basketball, Much To James Harden’s Delight
Despite what many athletes will contend, it's not the job of a sports writer or broadcaster to be adept at the sports they cover. They just need to know when other people are good at the sports they cover.
However it's still hilarious to watch people suck at stuff, particularly when those people are famous for talking trash about the most physically gifted athletes on the planet; like Stephen A. Smith.
ESPN's infamous First Take host spent some time with Houston Rockets star James Harden on Tuesday, and for some inexplicable reason, decided to show off his entirely non-existent three-point shooting skills.
Let's just say that James Harden was delighted.
To his credit, Stephen A. didn't try to defend his poor showing on the court. He just did what any of us would do, which is remain respectably embarrassed:
It's good to to know that every once in a while, the guy can take a break from being so defensive and just have a little fun at his own expense. I'd love to see a little bit more of that on First Take.
