The Mavericks Crushed Halloween
They might not win a lot of anything this season, but at least the 2015-16 Dallas Mavericks can feel confident knowing they won Halloween with a ridiculously strong costume game.
Sunday night, Deron Williams threw a Halloween party at his place in Dallas, presumably in an effort to score some early points with his new teammates, who will inevitably sour on him when he starts dogging it during Wednesday's season opener. Side note: what are the chances D-Will's invitation included the stipulation "NO ONE SHOW UP AS DEANDRE JORDAN"?
The costume rundown...
13) Charlie Villanueva: Cop
12) Wesley Matthews: Army Toy
11) Raymond Felton: Raekwon??
10) JaVale McGee: Louis XVI
9) Zaza Pachulia: Some sort of Kung Fu master
8) Devin Harris: 70s Ref
7) Justin Anderson: Nelly
6) Dwight Powell: Bane
5) Deron Williams: Macho Man Randy Savage
4) Maurice Ndour: Prince Akeem
3) Jose Barea: Minion
2) Dirk Nowitzki: Lurch
1) Rick Carlisle: Jim Carrey as Rick Carlisle

Ok, so it's fairly obvious that Dirk Nowitzki's "Lurch" and Rick Carlisle's "Jim Carrey as Rick Carlisle" standout as the team's clear winners, but where do they rank among the all-time greatest NBA Halloween party costumes? Can you put either of them ahead of Carmelo Anthony's decision to dress up as the frontman for GWAR? I kind of feel like that one's locked in at the top spot.
