This Anthony Davis Dunk Should Frighten The Crap Out Of The Rest Of The NBA
The Pelicans' Anthony Davis has been on national TV twice now, and that should be enough to prove: A. If he's not the best player in the NBA now, he soon will be, and B. Holy Jesus, look at that dunk.
The most impressive thing isn't the dunk itself -- although it's pretty special to see someone take two strides from near the top of the key and launch himself to the rim. The really special thing is Davis beating four opponents -- who began the transition ahead of him -- down the court to do it.
As with New Orleans' first nationally-televised game, the Pelicans lost, to Dallas 112-107. Davis had 31 points and 11 rebounds. He jammed his toe during another dunk in the fourth quarter but says he'll be fine.
