This Is Why There's A Preseason, Guys
NBA preseason has begun. It's been about five months since most NBA players have played a "real" game of 5-on-5 basketball, in front of spectators, against a group of guys who they don't necessarily like. It's been slightly longer for the Bulls than for the Wizards, since Chicago lost to Washington in the first round of last season's playoffs, but it's clear that both sides are rusty.
This sequence, from Monday's game, is why the preseason is a thing, in a nutshell (via @_MarcusD_):
For those of you keeping track at home: In the span of about 12 seconds, there were two turnovers by the Wizards and four missed field goals by the Bulls (three of them of the "blown lay-up" variety). Plus, Jimmy Butler traveled. Thank God this game didn't count.
