The 2017 NBA trade deadline is just four days away and Knicks fans are eager to see if their team is going to make any moves. The past month has been flooded with rumors of Carmelo Anthony waiving his no-trade clause and accepting a trade to either the Los Angeles Clippers or the Cleveland Cavaliers. Anthony has stated that he will not waive his no-trade clause as he wants to stay in New York. So let's play general manager and make three trades that Knicks fans would love to see on Thursday.
- Derrick Rose to Los Angeles- After going AWOL earlier this year the Knicks ship Rose and Justin Holiday to the Lakers for D'Angelo Russell and a second round pick. Knicks get their future point guard and another young piece to put with Kristaps Porzingis. Imagine a Russell pick and roll with either Porzingis or Willy Hernangomez.
2. Joakim Noah and Lance Thomas to Sacramento- After a horrible first half of the season for both Noah and Thomas the Knicks trade them to the Sacramento Kings for Willie Cauley-Stein and Ben McLemore. Getting rid of both Noah's and Thomas contract would be a dream come true for the Knicks.
3. Carmelo Anthony to Golden State- The Knicks finally get Carmelo to waive his no-trade clause and send him to Golden State. In the deal the Knicks would trade Anthony, Justin Holiday, and Lance Thomas for Klay Thompson, James Michael McAdoo and two first round picks. Carmelo will finally get a chance to play in the finals and win a ring as the Knicks gear up for the future with Klay and McAdoo.
