The future of the NBA is in great hands, as there are a number of young talents in the league that are seemingly destined for superstardom. Some of the best players in the association are in their early twenties. Today we are taking the time to rank the best players in the NBA who fall under the age of 25. Check out the rankings below, but first here are a few honorable mentions that did not crack the top five.
Honorable Mentions: Bradley Beal, Nikola Jokic, Devin Booker, Joel Embiid
Andrew Wiggins, Minnesota Timberwolves
PPG: 23.2 RPG: 4.0
Some may be surprised by Wiggins cracking the top 5, but at just age 22 he has made huge progressions as a player. Wiggins has the athleticism and physicality to be one of the best perimeter defenders in the league. That combined with his much-improved jump shot and overall scoring attributes, the sky is the limit for he and the very talented Timberwolves core.
Kristaps Porzingis, New York Knicks
PPG: 18.1 RPG: 7.2 BLK: 2.0
The unicorn does it all. At 7'3 Porzingis can create his own shot, shoot threes and is becoming a monstrous shot-blocker. There are still a few aspects of his game that need polishing, such as his decision-making, but once he figures it out we will be looking at one of the most dominant players in the league.
Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves
PPG: 24.7 RPG: 12.1
Towns' has the skill-set and drive to be great. He has already shown time and time again the ability to dominate at the offensive end, but when he locks in defensively he is a different animal. He's having a great start to his career and has a bright future ahead.
Giannis Antekounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks
PPG: 23.2 RPG: 8.7 APG: 5.4
This year Giannis was an All-Star starter and really put the league on notice. He leads his team in pretty much every major statistical category. He can be argued as the 2nd best player in the Eastern Conference behind LeBron James of course. It will be exciting to see what he will be able to accomplish with the young Bucks this postseason.
Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans
PPG: 27.8 PPG RPG: 12.0 BLK:2.2
Anthony Davis is a full blown superstar. He gets it done on both ends night in and night out. He can shoot, put the ball on the ground and finish at the basketball, and lock the paint down at the other end. It's hard to believe he can get much better than what he is currently, but there is still room to improve for AD which should be scary for the rest of the league.
