VIDEO: Watch 76er Nerlens Noel Forget How To Dribble A Basketball
The Philadelphia 76ers took on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night, and while Lebron James was busy becoming the 20th player in NBA history - and the youngest - to score 25,000 career points, the young Nerlens Noel was looking like the basketball version of a newborn baby deer.
After batting the ball free from Anderson Verejao, the former Kentucky star turned to push the ball down the court on an uncontested fast break. But what actually transpired definitely didn't even resemble professional basketball.
I hate to say it, but that's exactly how I would envision a guy named 'Nerlens' would play basketball. Fortunately for Noel, he generally appears much more comfortable with the concept of dribbling than this video would have you believe. Maybe he was distracted by his opponent Lebron's big moment, or maybe he just had one of those brain farts that we all have across the course of our day.
Hell, I've spent way more time than I'd like to admit looking for a remote control that I was holding in my hand. So if this world class athlete occasionally forgets how to use his body parts while on the job, who am I to judge?
