Warriors Score 50 Points In 3rd Quarter … Draymond Mocks Paul Pierce ‘Farewell Tour’ During Game
Paul Pierce announced back in September that this season would be his last, and it's been a great career -- the 10-time NBA All-Star won a title in 2008 with the Celtics and averaged 19.8 points per game and 3.5 apg.
But does this warrant a "farewell tour", as Pierce has been calling it? The Warriors' Draymond Green obviously doesn't think so. Pierce was not a fan of Kevin Durant leaving the Thunder and going to the Warriors, so Draymond stuck up for his teammate in an amusing way on Thursday night when the Clippers visited Oakland.
Draymond just straight-up trashed Paul Pierce. "You can't get no farewell tour, they don't love you like that...You thought you was Kobe?" pic.twitter.com/SC0A0vxLTo

In case you didn't hear all of that, it was Draymond addressing Pierce, saying "Chasing that farewell tour, they don’t love you like that. You can’t get that farewell tour, they don’t love you like that, you thought you was Kobe?”
But that wasn't as epic as the Warriors' third quarter. Down by as many as 12 in the first half, Golden State made the jump to light speed and scored 50 in the third quarter (after 49 in the entire first half) and won, 123-113. It was the Warriors' 10th straight win over the Clippers.
The 50 in a quarter and 74 in the second half were both team season highs. In fact, the Warriors' most recent 50-point quarter was in 1989 (the franchise has four). The NBA's last 50-point quarter was in 2014, by the Lakers.
