Watch Deron Williams And Kyle Korver Play Dodgeball
Former teammates Deron Williams and Kyle Korver will host their third-annual "Dodge Barrage" charity dodgeball tournament this summer, and there's an accompanying promotional video you really owe it to yourself to watch.
According to the Nets point guard, who last month signed with Turkish team Beşiktaş on account of the lockout, the duo aren't sure why they chose dodgeball, but figured it was "something that more people can afford."
Williams also shared some insight into the finer points of dodgeball strategy, explaining that you don't want your team to get caught with no balls, because then the opposing squad can just pick you off. Thanks Deron, we'll be sure to remember that one the next time we organize a game of street dodgeball.
Korver, for his part, seemed content to let D-Will do most of the talking. See below:
We have to hand it to them, for standing well over 6-1, both Korver and Williams display surprisingly cat-like reflexes.
The tournament will take place on August 27 at 8 a.m., which seems like an ungodly early hour for dodgeball, but in the name of charity, who's really going to protest? All the ball-dodging action will go down at some place called "THE FACTORY" in Lehi, Utah, where the two played a combined nine seasons for the Jazz.
