Watch Ron Artest’s Stand-Up Comedy Debut
Ron Artest is looking for work in a completely different field all together.
Artest, who in August will have his name legally changed to Metta World Peace, is embarking on a four-city stand-up comedy tour. His debut came Friday at the Los Angeles Improv.
Throughout his set, Artest took questions from the audience, and after being asked what he learned from the infamous 2004 in-game brawl in Detroit, he provided somewhat of an interesting answer.
"I didn't learn shit. I just smacked Barea and fucking got suspended. That's why I changed my name to Metta. Next year, there will be peace."
Say what you will about Artest, but you can't argue that the man hasn't always been fascinating, and with more shows planned in the future it's a safe bet that more tidbits of honesty will be revealed by the Lakers forward in the near future.
You can watch a portion of Artest's act, as captured by The Los Angeles Times, below.
