While Being Pulled Over With Weed On Him, A Former NBA Player Did What Most Middle Schoolers Would Do
While driving his 2002 Mercedes through Kingman, Arizona, former NBA player Samaki Walker found himself being pulled over by a Department of Public Safety official. This was a problem, since Walker had the following in his car:
- 10 grams of marijuana.
- Some prescription drugs.
- Eight bottles of liquid steroids.
Walker, in a panic and apparently trying to make a very bad situation less bad, did what you've been told you should do ever since you first smoked weed back in junior high: eat the drugs, bro.
The ninth overall pick in the 1996 draft attempted to scarf down eight of the ten grams of weed, but couldn't eat fast enough: officials caught him in the act, and took him to the Mohave County Jail.
As for the steroids, Walker told police Walker he uses them "to improve his athletic ability because he still plays professionally in Syria." He told police that the steroids are legal there (wait, what?), but unfortunately for him, they get you a misdemeanor in Arizona. Bond was set at $2,000, and he faces his first hearing on August 5th.
